Coach Bill Gahn began his Arizona coaching career at Prescott High School in 1979. he coached 17 years at Prescott. In 1996, he moved to Sunrise Mountain in Peoria where he coached another 3 years. Gahn retired from football in 1999 with an overall coaching record of 125 wins, 74 losses, and 6 ties. His Prescott Badgers won 5 Skyline Regional Championships (1984, 85, 88, 91, and 93). Bill was selected Region Coach of the Year 4 times (1984, 88, 91, and 93). He was the Head ACA All Star Coach twice (1988 and 1996), and an All Star Assistant twice (1983 and '89). Coach Gahn was an active member of the Arizona Coaches Association. In 1989 and '90, Bill served on the Board of Directors and was the Chairman of the ACA Football Committee. In 1993 and '94, Gahn served on the ACA Football Advisory Board. Coach also served his peers by being the Football Clinic Chairman in 1981 and 1982. Bill also served as the liaison to the coaches at the 1984 and 1986 All Star Games. Bill became an Executive Board Member to the Hall of Fame in the Spring of 2018. Coach Gahn assisted with the moving of the Hall of Fame public display from the Arizona Coliseum to the Gila River Arena in 2017.
