Doug Clapp was a very successful 4A high school football coach at Peoria High School. Coach Clapp's Panthers were the 4A State Football Champions in 1986, 1987, and tied Tucson Sahuaro's 1994 team for their third title in 8 years. Doug's boys were also the State Runners-Up in 1988 and 1990. Coach Clapp has been an ardent supporter of the Arizona Coaches Association, he has coached in more than one of the ACA All Star games, and formerly served on the Executive Board of the Hall of Fame.
