Coach Hall is currently on the Executive Board of the Coaches Hall of Fame and has served as the president of the organization from 1994 to 2019 (25 years). Coach Hall began his coaching career at Tolleson Union High School in 1964 as the Varsity Baseball Coach. Coach Hall moved over to Maryvale High School in 1968 assisting in football and basketball. Buck became the head football coach at Maryvale High School in 1980. Before his retirement from football in 1993, Coach Hall's Panthers reached the state playoffs in 10 of his 14 years at the helm. Three of his Maryvale Panthers made it to the National Football League: Phillipi Sparks, Darren Woodson, and Frank Garcia. Buck is a Past President of the Arizona Coaches Association. Coach has been involved in the ACA All-Star Football games. Coach Hall was inducted into the National High School Athletic Coaches Hall of Fame in 2002. The Executive Board of the Hall of Fame presented Coach Hall a long service special recognition award at the 2019 Induction Banquet.
