Bev coached volleyball for 20 years, 15 as head coach at Maryvale and Carl Hayden High Schools, and 5 years as an assistant. Coach Bostrom's girls won 114 matches and won over 51% of their games. Bostrom was the Phoenix Coaches Association Volleyball Coach of the Year in 1975 and 1979. She was the ACA Volleyball All Star Coach in 1980 and has been a clinic speaker for the ACA on numerous occasions. Coach was the president of the Arizona Association of Volleyball Coaches 8 times and was inducted into their specific Hall of Fame in 1990. Coach Bostrom is widely known for her selfless devotion to the Arizona Special Olympics program(s) where she served as a volunteer volleyball head coach and instituted a "student coaches" program.
