Bob began his coaching career as an assistant at Bradshaw Mountain in 1995 before being named head coach at McClintock High School a year later . In 2000, he moved to Mesquite High, and in 2006 he accepted the head coaching position at Mesa Mountain View. His teams posted 381 wins with only 116 losses for a winning percentage of 77%. His Mountain View Toros won the State Championships in 2014 and 2015, were State Runners-Up twices, and were the Region Champions from 2013 through 2016. At one point in this streak they were ranked the 24th best high school wrestling program in the nation. Coach Callison also guided Casteel High to a Region Championship in 2018. Bob was named the State Wrestling Coach of the Year in 2014 by the Arizona Wrestling Coaches' Association and the Arizona Repubic. Callison was named the Mesa Wrestling Coach of the Year on six separate occasions. Coach has served his association by coaching the All-Star wrestling event for four different years. Callison's ongoing involvement in the Arizona Prep Wrestling community is legendary.
