Carol coached volleyball at Buckeye Union High School for 31 years, 29 of those years as head coach. Her teams won an incredible 442 dual matches, were twice state runners-up and captured nine regional championships. Her overall winning percentage is 66%. In 1998, she was named State Coach of the Year by the Arizona Coaches' Association and has been honored as Region Coach of the year five times. Carol was named All-Star head coach in 1986, 1990, 1992, 1999 and 2002 and served as All-Star assistant coach three times. In 1965, Carol was one of the founders of the Arizona Volleyball Coaches' Association and served as it's president in 1996. In addition she has been a representative to the 4A Skyline Volleyball Advisory Committee 13 times. In 1996 Carol laid the groundwork for what was to become the West Valley Volleyball Club, a highly competitive and well respected club Volleyball team. Carol is recognized statewide for her unwavering support of high school volleyball, her continued advocacy on behalf of student athletes and is often asked to be a speaker or clinician at state and national volleyball coaches' meetings.
