Cliff Myrick starred for Tucson High School's Badgers baseball team (batting average .533) when they won the 5A State Title in 1945. Myrick went on to star in American Legion Baseball at the National level before coming back to Tucson to play for Frank Sancet at the University of Arizona. After graduation, Myrick coached baseball, softball, and volleyball for 27 years at Catalina High School. Cliff was the Tucson Daily Star's Coach of the Year in 1976. He coached the ACA South All Star baseball teams in 1969 and 1983. His overall record was 329-213-14. Coach Myrick was inducted into the Pima County Sports Hall of Fame in 1995
