Earl Clupper

Earl Clupper was a charter member of the Arizona Coaches Hall of Fame in 1984. Coach Clupper coached for 34 years with 22 of those being at South Mountain High School. Coach Clupper had a 66% winning percentage over all those years, and his Rebels won the State Title in 1959 and were the runners-up in 1976. Coach Clupper also received the Distinguished Service Award Certificate from the National Federation of Interscholastic Officials for 25 years of wrestling officiating. Coach Clupper was inducted into the National High School Athletic Coaches Hall of Fame in 2000. Coach Clupper passed away in Sun City, Arizona on May 25, 2006.
