Paul Williams has been a very successful girls’ track coach at Cactus High School for over 20 years.  Coach Williams has led his Lady Cobras to five 4A State Track Titles (1987, 1999, 2000, 2007, and 2008).  Williams' teams were the State Runners-Up twice (2005, 2008), and third in the state meet twice (1988, 2010).  One of Paul's athletes, Jessica McDonald, set the state 4A record in the 400 meters in 2005 (55.26).  Coach Williams passed away on May 1, 2021.
