Russ Bethel was the head baseball coach at Willcox High School in southeastern Arizona.  Coach Bethel's Cowboys were perennial frontrunners for years.  Willcox made five appearances in the State Title game during his tenure.  The Cowboys were back-to-back State Runners-Up in 1986 and 1987.  Bethel stayed with the boys another ten years and they pulled off a three-peat in 1999, 2000, and 2001.
