Walt Beamis

Walt Beamis was an outstanding football coach for 20 years at Phoenix Christian High School.  His Cougars won back-to-back State Titles in 1984 and 1985. His Cougars compiled a record of 140-64-4 with 8 Division titles along the way  Coach Beamis was an ACA All-Star Football Coach three times and the ACA Game Dedicatee in 1986.  He was selected as the District 8 Coach of the Year in 1974 and 1982.  Walt was selected from District 8 as one of the finalists for the National Coaches Association Coach of the Year in 1986.  Beamis' Cougar Track team was the 1974 State Champion.  Coach Beamis passed away in 2012.
