Coach Taylor began his football coaching career in Ohio in 1972. He moved to Phoenix in 1986 and in 1990 accepted the head football coaching position when Centennial High School opened. He remains as Centennial’s head coach at this writing. He was named State Coach of the Year by the Arizona Republic in 2015. His overall record is 322 wins and 124 losses and his record at Centennial is 247 wins, 85 losses and three ties. His Centennial teams have made the playoffs 21 times, have been region Champions 24 times, State Runners-up four times and State Champions seven times. 243 of his players have gone on to play college football.
