Steve Hudgens has spent his life in and around education and coaching in the rural areas of Arizona. Coach Hudgens was the head basketball coach at Morenci and later in Clifton. Coach Hudgens Morenci teams were the 2A State Champions in 1973 and 1975. Morenci was also a Runner-Up in 1970. His 1992 Clifton crew defeated Tucson Greenfield for the 1A State basketball crown. The 1993 Clifton team was the State Runner-Up to Northwest Christian. Coach Hudgens spent countless hours in the southeastern area of Arizona supporting the Arizona Coaches Association and administrating the old ACA All Star Games at Eastern Arizona College in Thatcher during the 80's and 90's. Steve Hudgens was hired as the principal/superintendent in the Williams, Arizona School District in 2008.
