Tot Workman coached football primarily at Round Valley High School with stops before at Snowflake and Brigham City, UT. Coach Workman led his players to State Championships in 1979, 80, and 85. His teams were runners-up in 1975, and 84. During one stretch, Round Valley won 100 games in 10 years. Coach Workman was very active in the Arizona Coaches Association in the 1980's and '90s. Tot was a leading figure to the creation of the small schools All Star football game(s). Several of the early years small school All Star contests were played in the Dome in Round Valley. Many of Tot's players have gone on to coach and teach school. Coach Workman still advocates for youth with his involvement in high school All-American programs. Tot was selected as the 1989 National High School Athletic Association Coach of the Year and he was inducted into the National Hall of Fame in 1999. Coach Workman passed away the last week of March in 2023. The Ensphere Dome in Eagar (Springerville) Arizona was dedicated to Coach Workman in September of 2024. One of the only indoor high school football complexes in the USA, the dome now bears the Workman name.
