Coach Aaron Anderson began coaching boy's basketball in 1986 and has served as a head coach for 18 years at 4 different Arizona high schools; Chinle, Kayenta Monument Valley, St. Johns, and Page. Coach's teams have won 373 games with a winning percentage of 74%. His Monument Valley Mustangs were the Arizona State Class 3A Basketball Champions in 1993 and 1996. Anderson also enjoyed 3 State Class 3A State Runners-Up seasons (MVHS 1992, and Page 2002 and 2006). The coach has led his boys to 11 regional championships. Coach Anderson was named the Arizona Class 3A State Basketball Coach of the Year in 1993. Anderson was further honored as the State (all classes) Basketball Coach of the Year in 1996. Anderson coached two All-Star basketball games (1990, and 2002), and served the Arizona Coaches Association in various committee activities involving basketball over the years.
