Stan Luketich coached an amazing 50 years of Arizona prep baseball along with 14 years of football, and 6 years of basketball. Coach Luke’s baseball teams won 3 State Titles; 1989 at Moon Valley, and 2 titles at Desert Vista in 1999 and 2001. Stan’s teams also were Arizona State Runners-Up in two other years. Coach Luke was on the coaching staff of Earl Putman’s 1982 Moon Valley State Football Champions and another year as runners-up. Coach Luketich has also received Arizona State coaching recognition being inducted into the Arizona Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2007, and the Arizona Interscholastic Association Baseball Coach of the Year in 2014. At the National Level, Coach Luke has been recognized twice by the American Baseball Coaches Association. In 2012 Stan was recognized for the “Ethics in Coaching Award” by the ABCA (only 2 prep coaches have ever received this honor). Coach Luke was inducted into the ABCA National Coaches Hall of Fame in 2018.
